Sean O'Toole

Sean O'Toole is a Johannesburg-based art critic, journalist and writer. Editor of the award-winning quarterly print magazine, Art South Africa, he publishes a weekly photography column in the Sunday Times, South Africa's largest circulation newspaper. His journalism and writing has been widely published, both in South Africa and internationally. The recipient of the 2006 HSBC/SA PEN Literary Award, judged by Nobel laureate JM Coetzee, he has also published a collection of short stories. Born in Pretoria (1968), Sean holds separate degrees in English Literature, Law and Creative Writing.
