Directeur Artistique

Comme Directeur Artistique du DIFF, Masoud Amralla Al Ali supervise entièrement la programmation du festival qui comprend les films des cinéastes arabes et internationaux. La passion de Masoud pour le cinéma, sa connaissance, son expérience et expertise constituent une partie importante DIFF depuis la première édition. L'édition 2006 du DIFF a vu la nomination de Masoud comme Directeur Artistique de la Programmation arabe et Coordinateur Général des Prix Muhr - une plateforme qui reconnaît les talents du monde du cinéma arabe. Comme Directeur Artistique, il est responsable de la sélection de films arabes et non-arabes pour les sections "Arabian Nights" et "Emerging Emiratis".
In his capacity as Artistic Director of the UAE Cultural Foundation, a national cultural institution funded by the federal government in Abu Dhabi, he founded the Emirates Film Competition, an annual cinema event held in Abu Dhabi to promote Arab films and encourage Arab filmmakers from the UAE and the region.
Masoud is highly respected in the film community and is generally regarded as one of the region's best-informed experts on Arab cinema. He has directed several documentary films and writes extensively as a critic on Arab cinema in Arabic publications.
