Kiting is a high energy, family event that originated from China. The kiting culture has spread across the world. It attracts kite flyers and kite enthusiasts from every corner for a weekend of kites and family fun. Original handmade art kites, giant creature kites, kites trains, fighter kites, stunt kites and kite buggies fill the air over an open field.
The Kenya Kite Festival will be the first of its kind in Kenya and the second in Africa. Held during the holiday month of August, The Kenya Kite Festival will bring together families from all over East Africa to enjoy a unique, ground breaking event in the city.
