Strut Records

Acquired and re-launched in January 2008, Strut has a found a natural home at !K7.

From 1999-2003, the label became renowned for its uncompromising high quality packages documenting landmarks in the history of dance music from Italo Disco, Calypso, Afro Beat and beyond, all A&R'd by original Strut founder, Quinton Scott.

Since 2008 Strut has been developing further bringing a new artist studio collaboration series Information Inspiration. The series brings together current artists and producers with their musical heroes for a mouth-watering one-off collaboration recorded in an intense week long studio session. Bringing together pairs of artists and producers that might have never crossed paths, such as - Amp Fiddler with Sly & Robbie, Horace Andy with Ashley Beedle, and Mulatu Astatke with the Heliocentrics.

And in 2009 Strut has presented the first studio album in 20 years from legendary Hip Hop pioneer - Grandmaster Flash. An album that bridges concepts, cultures and times under one roof, a love for music - one thing that you can always expect from Strut.
