Utilising appropriated imagery and text in combination with drawing, Simbah Pilé creates work that explores the multilayered interpretations of a narrative. She attempts to create stills that suggest a possibility of something to come, or that something has taken placed in a constantly evolving narrative. The idea that a story is in the process of taking place is what interests her.
