Roger Bonair-Agard is a native of Trinidad and Tobago, a Cave Canem fellow and author of three full-length collections of poetry: tarnish and masquerade (Cypher Books, 2006), GULLY (Cypher Books, Peepal Tree Press, 2010) and Bury My Clothes (Haymarket Books, 2013). He is also the author of the chapbook In Case you Wake up in the morning and you're not in Brooklyn - Chicago poems (New School Poetics, 2012). Roger co-founded and is the Artistic Director of NYC's louderARTS Project and is an MFA candidate at the University of Southern Maine's Stonecoast Program. Currently splitting time between Brooklyn and Chicago, Roger works with NYC's Urban Word, Chicago's Young Chicago Authors, and teaches at the Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center.
