Peter Leo Ela is an artist from Papua New Guinea.
Peter first realised his affinity with the arts while he was in second grade in Lae, Morobe Province and enjoyed drawing cartoons for his classmates at school. His first solo exhibition, 'Brain Storm' in 2004 was supported by the National Cultural Commission. He in turn supported them as a committee member from 2006-2009, co-ordinating and staging the National Arts & Craft Exhibition. He is a regular contributor to the Luk Save Art Show and was part of the 'Pacific Storm' show at Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery, Australia.
