Ochieng is an independent filmmaker from Nairobi, Kenya. After finishing high school, he interned at a production house in Nairobi for a year where he was afforded the opportunity to learn about making commercials. He acquired a diploma in film and animation in Norway at Buskerud Folkehøgskole and completed a BFA in film with a major in directing at EICAR, the international film and television school of Paris. He has returned to Nairobi to launch his career as an independent filmmaker and tell stories of Africa as he sees it.
