Nicolas POLIXENE is an award-winning film director, from France. At the 2014 Cannes Film Festival, he won the Oceans Prize for the best short film script for the "Papé" project. His film was selected in more than 70 festivals (Director's fortnight, Aspen, Palm Springs, Clermont-Ferrand...) and won many awards. After "Papé", Nicolas makes his second shortfilm "American Dream" (a co-direction between two long-time director friends, Sylvain Loubet). Their film was shot in North America. In this film, the directors wanted to talk about different social problems and the strength of prejudices born of mental conditioning. Everyone would like to live the famous AMERCICAN DREAM but what happens when the harsh reality of America wakes up unexpectedly ? "American Dream" is a great success at festivals, especially in the USA (Urbanworld, Bronzelens, New Orleans Filmfestival, Savannah, Chelsea film,...) In 2019, Nicolas joins a scriptwriters' workshop to write his first feature film "Dissidence". A story that takes place in Martinique during the World War II. At the same time, he is preparing new projects to shoot in America, including a new short film and the adaptation of American Dream into a feature film.
