Born in Dakar in 1974, Mohamed Diouf has grown up between Senegal, Europe and the United States. In his family, nobody plays music; nothing predestined him to become musician. However when he was young, he played as a singer-drummer in an orchestra with his brothers.
The influence of MC Solar lyrics, the advent of the first private radios in Dakar and the formation of groups of rap provoke the desire for Moh Dediouf to write and make modern music singing in wolof.
Having a pssion about dialectic and philosophy, he studies literature in Dakar then in Paris. His will to understand and interact with the society which surrounds him, directs him on new horizons. From his many travels (the USA, Germany, Switzerland?), he has learned to understand the cultural cleavages between populations and to make his art accessible to the largest number possible.
Singer, drummer or percussionnist, Moh Dediouf takes part in several formations
(soul acoustic trio, jazz band?).Autodidact, he brings to each new band a different approach of play music. He colors the Western music in African sounds and interprets in wolof, anglophone songs, by drawing the memories of the music from his roots.
His first album solo own-produced releases in 2007. He obtains the recognition of the professionals of the sector and gains the first price of ?International Songwriting Competition? in the USA among more than 15.000 songs and 100 countries represented. Yannick Noa, François Rivollet and other artists collaborate in this album. The songs written in French, wolof and English make the link between Africa and the rest of the world. As a solution against abuses of the world, Moh-Dediouf proposes his ideology of artist and human being.
Rich person of an eclectic course, he does not cease renewing himself. Today he proposes a new repertory mixing his old rearranged titles and new compositions. The meeting with Jimi Me Baye, guitarist of Youssou N?Dour, considered as one of the most creative guitarists of his generation, gave the two men the desire to collaborate in their country of heart, Senegal.
Symbol of the new movement African Artists For Next Generation, Moh-Dediouf has always knew how to surround himself with European and African artists to create a footbridge between Africa and the rest of the world. He is convinced that thanks to his music, he will be able to show the reality of Africa at the face of the world.
