Mary Hahn is a native of Nevis, Leeward Islands of the Caribbean, and was born there in 1925. For a remarkable artist such as herself, it is hard for one to believe that much of her work is self taught. A painter and drawer for over forty years, Ms. Hahn prefers to work in water colour and oils and has produced many stunning images that range from the semi- objective to the naturalistic-much of which comprise of landscapes. Ms. Hahn therefore, perhaps influenced by the scenery of Trinidad, came to live there in 1947, creating a legacy of works there that would later stem from her artistic psyche.
