Chief Lazare Asal is from St Henry village in the Southeast of Pentecost island. He's the director of the Vanuatu Cultural Center since May 2015. Lazare Asal has experience in custom and culture. He has served in traditional leadership, he's the Chairperson of the Port Vila Penama Council of Chiefs and people from his home still practice and live in custom daily. Lazare Asal has studied and involved himself in the Catholic church and he has also held a number of senior political roles in the governments of Vanuatu.
