A graduate of the French film school ESEC (Ecole Superieure d'Etudes Cinematographiques), Karine Allenbach started her career as an assistant film editor. Notably, she worked on some of the first features to use the AVID editing suite.
From 1993 to 2004, she continued the editing of features but also edited and/or directed many TV programmes for high profile French channels and press agencies including M6, CANAL+, Arte, France 2 and Sunset Presse.
She has also led a more personal career as a painter and numeric arts performer. Her work as an artist has always had a strong rapport with her cinematographic background.
In 2005 she founded her own Paris-based production company: URSA MINOR FILMS. She is a member of the SPI (French Independent Film Producers' Guild).
