Kamal Hachkar is a young 33 years old French Moroccan with Berber origins and a Muslim culture. Born in Tinghir in the Todra Valley, he left Morocco at the age of six months old with his mother to join his father who immigrated in France in 1968. After studying history at the Sorbonne University he became a teacher, meanwhile he was performing as a comedian in theatre and short films. Interested in the Jewish culture in Morocco and the Moroccan Judeo heritage, he wanted to discover this culture in Israël and in Morocco.

Great member of "Talk in Peace" association he is also president of "Créations mosaïques" which aims at creating links between mediterranean people.
