Cuba -born but a naturalized Guyanese, Tamayo's collection represents an appreciation of Guyanese life and society, where she has made a contribution for over 25 years as a tutor in Sculpture, Design and Drawing at the Burrowes School of Art, and influenced students and other artists with her technically accomplished and imaginative works.
