Deniz Gamze ERGÜVEN was born in Ankara, Turkey. She was raised in France and studied at La Fémis in Paris. She has directed the shorts Mon trajet préféré (06) and A Drop of Water (06), as well as the feature Mustang (15), which screened at the Toronto Festival. Kings (17) is her latest film.
