The Tanje Village Museum is more than a building that contains traditional Gambian artefacts - it is the artefact. It is a unique place where the natural history and traditional culture of The Gambia is presented in an interesting and accessible way to tourists, Gambians, local inhabitants and school groups. Tanje Village Museum, the first private museum of the Gambia. The site will be updated regularly and new pages and pictures will be added in the near future.
Tanje Village Museum is a unique place where the natural history and traditional culture of The Gambia is presented in an interesting and accessible way to tourists, Gambians, local inhabitants and school groups. We also offer accomodations for staying at the museum for a day or more. It is also possible to make a reservation for our Conference Center.
