The Karthala Arts Centre (Regional Platform for Artistic Expressions) is a non-profit Association based in the Comoros. It has as main objective to participate in the development of visual arts in the Comoros and in other countries of the Indian Ocean.
Created in 2006, our structure has been technically supported by the Rijksacademie of Amsterdam as pilot project of The RAIN/RIJKSACADEMIE and financially by the Dutch Ministry of Cooperation and Development for renovation of the building that houses our activities.
lThe kARTala Arts Centre organizes and participates in training workshops and exchange in the Comoros and the region, but also in other countries.
Karthala collaborates with other organizations for artistic and cultural events.
