Cinetelefilms

Cinetelefilms was established early in 1983, as a private limited company, with a goal to produce feature films and proximity documentaries.
Liberalization of the Tunisian economy combined with the creation of a film production support Fund by the Ministry of Culture and the television letting series production be subcontracted to the private sector helped Cinetelefilms become a reliable production company.
Selecting good scripts and good authors made it the audiovisual company with the highest visibility in the late 80's and in the 90's.
Awards and distinctions collected by its films in the major international festivals: Cannes, Taormina, Valencia, Nantes, Carthage Cinematographic Days (JCC)… confirmed its international fame.
The credibility of Cinetelefilms was built upon a clear strategy: sincerity, freedom of creation, taboo transgressing and tackling.
Its motto: fighting against self-censorship, blowing clichés up, tackling society's wounds head-on.
Technical mastery, aesthetic quality, good image and audible melodious sound were major elements in this strategy.
Keeping within financial limits consistent with its strategy, developing professional skills around allowed it gave it more freedom of action, and most of all modestly keeping to its role as a producer without being tempted to follow other paths.
20 years later, Cinetelefilms deemed necessary to widen its scope to include 2 goals:
Proximity for children and youth in its audiovisual productions hence the creation of Euromediatoon Department with the production of a cartoon series called "Viva Carthago" and the documentary series "The Mediterranean, a story of civilizations".
Involvement in the restructuring and development of the local market with its corollary a complex and multiplex cinema project and a strong involvement in theatrical and TV distribution.

Computer development and new image technologies encouraged Cinetelefilms, building up on its quite rich and long previous experience in audiovisual production, to focus its activities and investments in this new technological business.
Considerable financial means were thus provided in order to attain this goal: highly specialized training courses, highly sophisticated computer equipments, purchasing and mastering of specialized software and package…
This made Cinetelefilms one of the most outstanding companies in the South countries but also a company just as competitive as the ones in the North in this new field, image production, that requires artistic expression together with high technology.
