Known for his roles in films such as "Tozoom" and "Beast", Anzor Alem wants, with this new project, to explore the environmental issues that threaten the equatorial forest. "I am deeply attached to my native land and its natural resources," he said. "This film is a way for me to make the public aware of the importance of preserving this unique ecosystem."
An ambitious project
Although few details have been revealed about the script, we already know that the shooting will take place largely in the middle of the equatorial forest. Anzor Alem also indicated that he wanted to collaborate with Congolese directors and technicians, in order to highlight local talent.
"This film will be a real Congolese production, made with the means of the edge but with a lot of love and passion," he added.
A global challenge
The Equatorial Forest of Congo plays a crucial role in regulating the global climate. It is home to exceptional biodiversity and is the home of many local communities. Unfortunately, it is threatened by deforestation, illegal exploitation of natural resources and climate change.
By choosing to stage the equatorial forest, Anzor Alem intends to contribute to raising public awareness of these issues. His film could thus become a mobilization tool for the protection of this vital ecosystem.
