Colombiafrica was born of the meeting between Colombian composers Viviano Torres and Congolese guitarist Dally Kimoko. The two musicians dreamed of uniting their traditions, oceans apart, around the champeta. This street sound hails from the Atlantic coast of Colombia. It was created by local slave descendants whose culture resisted four centuries of Spanish occupation and repression.Colombiafrica spent three years working on their first album, the dancy and dynamic Voodoo Love Inna Champeta Land.
