A white South African returns home after seven years in Sweden. Hanli is longing to be back on the family farm, closer to her family and her heritage. But she left for a reason. Her grandfather was an Apartheid supporter and separation intellectual. Back on the farm the questions arise:'What role did my Afrikaner family play in the making of South Africa?' In an old shed on the farm she finds boxes left by her grandfather, political manifestos and books about white supremacy. With a history like that, can South Africa be her home? Who has the right to live in South Africa? She goes on a journey of confrontation and personal conflict to answer the burning question of belonging.
