His brother had been killed while he was doing business. Vuyo, a simple peasant, goes to town to find his sister-in-law and nephew to bring them back to the village.  But when Vuyo arrives in town, his head spins and he spends all the family's money on drinking. One morning, he wakes up in front of the bar from the day before, he is still drunk. The street children have stolen the rest of the money he had. The owner of the bar, taking pity on him, hired him as a waiter. Unable to raise the money he needed, he decides to swindle a woman and her child. He realizes too late that it was his sister-in-law.
