70 years after the invasion of Ethiopia by fascist Italy, the Axum Obelisque is finally given back to its country in 2005. The film tells these 70 years of history, the fight for the return of the obelisque and what it symbolizes in terms of cultural identity and collective memory for these Italian and ethipian people. It questions also the relation of Ethiopians to their patrimony, one of the richest of humanity.
