In a popular district of Bobo-Dioulasso, every evening, Madame Coda welcomes the children of prostitutes into her home.
The young women then wander around the "Black", a very lively alley in the town centre, until dawn when they come to collect their children.
But Madame Coda, who is over 80 years old, is getting tired.

Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso. Nachts passt Madame Coda auf die Kinder von Sexarbeiterinnen auf. Garderie nocturne begleitet den Alltag von drei Müttern, die ihre Dienste in Anspruch nehmen: Adam, Odile und Fatim. Sie leben und arbei-ten zusammen und unterstützen sich gegenseitig bei der Erziehung ihrer Kinder, in schwesterlichem Geist. Die Arbeitstage beginnen abends, und nachdem sie ein letztes Mal gestillt wurden, werden die Babys bei Madame Coda abgegeben. Nachts sind die Frauen im Quartier Black unterwegs und kommen erst im Morgengrauen mit ihren Babys im Tragetuch wieder nach Hause. Die alte Tagesmutter passt auf die Kinder auf, auch wenn es vorkommt, dass sie viel länger als eine Nacht bei ihr bleiben, wenn eine auf sich allein gestellte Mutter plötzlich keine Ressourcen mehr hat. Dank der Freundschaft, die den Filmemacher Moumouni Sanou aus Burkina Faso mit den Protagonistinnen verbindet, wird er in diesem ausschliesslich weiblichen Hilfenetz akzeptiert. Der Filmemacher richtet seine Kamera auf diese Gruppe von Frauen und fängt intime und zärtliche Momente ein, die sie untereinander und mit ihren Babys teilen.
