Abou is a Guinean artist who lives with other African immigrants in a boarding house in the Liberdade district of São Paulo. Among them is Satsuke, a mysterious Japanese woman who seems to have been in the house for many decades. Sow, a young Guinean woman, is trying to return home to start a life in Brazil, but she is blocked at the airport by immigration. The district of Liberdade is inhabited by foreigners, a place with a dark past.
