In Burundi in June 2015, demonstrations against the third term of President Pierre Nkurunziza bring thousands of people to the streets of Bujumbura. While filming the first abuses and the first victims in the midst of the demonstrators, I am separated from my family. Facing violence and risks in continuing to film, I am forced to flee my country. The film depicts the search for my children in Burundi and Rwanda. On both sides of the border, I meet those who have remained and those who have fled. Their often fragmented, brutal stories show great uncertainty.

En junio de 2015, miles de personas bajan a las calles de Bujumbura, Burundi, para manifestarse contra el tercer mandato del presidente Pierre Nkurunziza. Mientras me manifiesto, aprovecho para filmar las primeras cargas y a las primeras víctimas; en un momento dado, quedo separado de mi familia. Ante la violencia y los riesgos que corro al seguir filmando, me veo obligado a huir del país. La película retrata la búsqueda de mis hijos en Burundi y Ruanda.
