The Interrupters tells the moving and surprising story of three volunteer ex-offenders who are trying to protect their community in Chicago from the violence they themselves have used in the past. These "violence interrupters" - their working title - with their street credibility gained from their personal experiences, intervene in conflicts before violence erupts.
