Who are the Gullah?
These slave descendents represent the inalienable relationship between 40 million Afro-Americans and their ancestors. Isolated on an island, these black slaves mainly originated from enemy tribes, managed to live together, to create a new language and perpetuate traditions that are in extinction even in Africa. We find out a history fact related to slaves from Gabon who arrives in the South Carolina and formed the "Gullah" with other ethnic groups.
