La tribu de los Hulis es una de 900 tribus de Papúa Nueva Guinea. Asentada en una de las comarcas más alejadas de la isla, en 1955 vió llegar a los primeros blancos, los misioneros metodistas. La película acompaña a Ghini y a otros viejos guerreros, que bajo la presión de los misioneros, destruyeron la casa de los antepasados para construir allí una iglesia y hacerse bautizar en ella el día de Navidad.

The Hulis are one of the 900 tribes of Papua New Guinea. Living in one of the most isolated regions of the country, the tribe's first contact with Europeans - in the form of Methodist missionaries - was in 1955. The film follows Ghini and other old warriors who, under pressure from the missionaries, destroyed the house of their ancestors to build a church in which to celebrate Christmas.
