Two childhood friends, Khandiou and Ndate, have committed suicide by throwing themselves into the village well, without anyone being able to understand the reasons for their gesture. Their parents and the other villagers are shocked and the Imam annouinces that he will not recite prayers for the funerals as suicide is against the Muslim religion. The two families, however, are determined to bury Khanidou & Ndate according to the rules of Muslim tradition. In the morgue, the begins a trila where the truth comes to the surface, revealing the great friendship between the two girls. The film is based on a popular tale.
