Start Journal is organizing a cool Afrobeat Dance Party at Iguana this weekend. Expect lots of Fela Kuti tunes and..most important..expect to donate some cash, or make a pledge to do so later in order to ensure we can keep producing StartJournal Online Magazine.

With your money we will pay the writers, artists, editor and webdeveloper, that contribute to our magazine & produce a printed yearly special edition.

"Without art, the crudeness of reality would make the world unbearable" – George Bernard Shaw

To sustain a vibrant contemporary art industry, art must be produced, exhibited, bought and documented. Ugandan art requires the collective patronage and responsibility of Ugandans to evolve.

Together we can achieve these goals and build a sustainable local art industry that competes at an international standard.

Because we like to give back, donors will receive:

20,000 - 100,000 UGX = A4 art print by Daudi Karungi
100,000 – 300,000 UGX = A3 art print by Ndema Paul
300,000 UGX + = A4 art print by Ndema Paul + copy of special edition journal
By donating, you have joined our art club and your name will be listed on our website.
