Arte Berri opened its doors in 2005 with a cultural agenda that would benefit artists and the public. The gallery is located in the Zona Colonial of Santo Domingo. It is a XVIth century house that was newly renovated. At Arte Berri you can find exhibitions that include national and international artists. At the same time under the direction of Bingene Armenteros, Arte Berri is committed in presenting renown world artists, with the goal of offering collectors a wide selection of styles, techniques and materials. In its 8th anniversary, Arte Berri presented two exhibitions. Damien Hirst, was exhibited for the first time in the Dominican Republic.



Arte Berri is also dedicated in organizing different conferences. Some of the speakers who have been invited to Arte Berri are: Dr. Gregorio Luke, former director of MoLAA, Museum of Latin American Art, Long Beach, Ca.; Dr. Carol Damian, director of the Frost Art Museum, Miami, Fl. Mariavelia Savino, international curator, Dr. Alex Rosenberg, collector and appraiser; Rosa Tejada former Director of Education at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, NY; Marianne de Tolentino art critic and curator; Fernando Casanova art collector; among others. In the coming years Arte Berri will continue its commitment to the cultural community.
