Born in Benin in 1998, Okpè Dorcas Ganmagba grew up in the town of Abomey-Calavi. After her baccalaureate in 2015, she entered journalism at the Higher Institute of Audiovisual Professions. She discovered the world of cinema during her higher studies and met many Beninese directors. In 2018, Dorcas left university with a degree in broadcast journalism. She successively held the positions of journalist, editor, host and presenter in several Beninese media.

In September 2022, inspired by the professional reconversion of a retired female doctor, she directed her first short documentary film entitled "Une vie après l'autre". Finding the experience captivating and exciting, she decided to begin a career as a documentary journalist. Dorcas has since been working on several other film projects which will soon be revealed to the general public
