Peter realised his affinity with the arts while he was in second grade in Lae, Morobe Province and enjoyed drawing cartoons for his classmates at school. His creative arts teacher encouraged him to pursue his talent and supported his application to the Creative Arts School which he subsequently graduated from in 1996.
His first solo exhibition, 'Brain Storm' in 2004 was supported by the National Cultural Commission. He in turn supported them as a committee member from 2006-2009, co-ordinating and staging the National Arts & Craft Exhibition. He is a regular contributor to the Luk Save Art Show and was part of the 'Pacific Storm' show at Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery, Australia.
'Post modern PNG visual art is evolving into the new millenium with diversity in colour, form, style and medium. As evident, the diversity in individual artistic style is overwhelming. Relative to the cultural diversity, I see exciting new wave of art-forms in their embrionic stages eminent to be conceived into beautiful creations.
The support we artists get from government institutions, individual guyers and private institutions or organisations such as Art Stret Gallery is highly appreciated.
"Imagination is the eye of the spirit".'
