Richard Delano Forbes Jr., Television Director, completed his first degree (BFA) at the prestigious New York University (NYU) with a major in Film and Television and a minor in Economics. His passion for the business goes beyond the creative side as he also has an MBA from Florida International University (FIU). This highly intelligent, dynamic, and creative young man was awarded the Prime Minister's Youth Award for Excellence in Entrepreneurship in 2002. For three consecutive years (2002, 2003 and 2004), he received the Caribbean Broadcasting Union's (CBU) award for best music video of the year. In recognition of his talent he was invited by UNESCO to participate in a 2002 workshop regarding The Importance of Indigenous Television programming and hosted in Cuba.
This young man achieved the status of being employed by McCain Erickson to direct their TSTT television commercials in Trinidad, something unheard of at the time. He has worked with several advertising agencies including CGR on their Western Union and Red Stripe Light campaigns, Dunlop Corbin Red Label Wine Campaigns, Waterworks Digicel Gimme 5 and Jamaica National TV Campaign. Delano has directed a series of concerts around the region for MTV and later for the Tempo Network. He served as consultant and Technical Manager for the ICC World Cup Cricket Opening Ceremony 2007 hosted in Jamaica. With a keen interest in knowledge Delano keeps himself abreast of trending technologies by attending major trade shows as well as technical workshops overseas.
Richard Delano Forbes is no stranger to hard work and brought his energy, creativity, enthusiasm to the local Television/ Multimedia landscape. His more recent Television projects include Jazz and Blues, Digicel Rising Stars, Digicel Caribbean Cup, Tastee Talent Trail, Magnum Kings and Queens, Shaggy's benefit Concert "Shaggy and Friends", Sean Kingston Coke Zero Concert ESPN Press Pass and the recent Arthur Guinness Concert at the National Stadium.
