Director Keila Leniese Kock grew up in Potchefstroom, North West and moved to Braamfontein, Johannesburg at the age of 18 to study Film & Television at The University of Witwatersrand. During her second year she directed the short film The Space Between Us and in her third year Where's the Chicken? in Katlehong, near Johannesburg. Both projects were executed with classmates from Wits as crew members. After graduating from her fourth and final year at Wits, she aspires to establish herself as a South African director and filmmaker.
