Kyalo is best known for his huge, abstract paintings and is one of the leading artists creating abstracts in Kenya. The titles for these abstract pieces are often as interesting as the works themselves. His titles are often long interesting sentences that are often humorous.
Born in 1972, Kyalo trained as an illustrator. He credits his use of colour to his roots in Ukambani and specifically to the colourful baskets that his grandmother used to weave. Dance is another source of inspiration for him and he spends alot of time watching dance classes in various spaces around Nairobi. He can be often seen with a camera capturing the movement.
Kyalo has participated in many exhibitions with a solo show at the National Museum as one of his most recent.
