Allan Gichigi is an independent filmmaker/photographer based in Nairobi, Kenya. He holds a masters degree in Film production, from the University of Canterbury Christ Church, UK.
From his social nature and interaction with people his passion in photojournalism was born. He has been doing it professionally for the last five years. He has worked for UN under the umbrella of IRIN.
Area of specialty is in documentaries/documentary photography, people driven narratives, portraiture and wedding photography among others.
He has had his work featured in numerous exhibitions in Kenya and US, and won the UNDP category 5 'Picture This' competition.
