Starting from the observation that her father - who is white - was born in Africa, and that her mother - who is black - was born in Europe, the director reveals the complex history of her family, from colonialism to their experience of the interracial couple in Europe in the 1950's and 70's.

Basierend auf der Beobachtung, dass ihr Vater, der eine weiße Haut hat, in Afrika geboren wurde und ihre Mutter, die eine schwarze Haut hat, in Europa geboren wurde, zeichnet die Regisseurin die komplexe Geschichte ihrer Familie nach, vom Kolonialismus bis zu ihrer Erfahrung mit interrassischen Beziehungen Paare in Europa zwischen den 1950er und 1970er Jahren.
