Karavann festival has become the iconic meeting place for electronic music in the Indian Ocean. Every year, headliners from different parts of the world graze the stage of this internationally renowned festival.
This year, Syl Martin, a band born on Reunion Island, caught the public's attention. Their original concept, based on multiple collaborations, creates a powerful emotional landscape against a backdrop of digital textures.
The collective released a debut album in 2021, which has already received rave reviews from professionals in the region, with tracks such as "Saturno" featuring Mozambican TRKZ, and "Never End" featuring Matter of Tact (Belgium) and ALZO (Madagascar).
The project is now being exported, and seems to have won over the hearts of the audience at the Karavann Festival on May 25. On the program: 45 minutes of well-crafted show, impressive transitions and an almost addictive vocal performance that transported the audience into another universe.
Syl Martin rose to the challenge with flying colors, in a universe dictated by DJ sets. Their subtle compositions and touching performance will remain in the Karavann Festival archives.
