Gisèle Akindès, in her sixties, has been retired for three years. Today, she got up early because she spends the whole day in her mosaic workshop, which she affectionately calls "her den". Gisèle is a mosaic artist. She has been working for several days on a painting which she hastens to present to us. She is also an interior designer.
But this woman was not always an artist. In a previous life, Gisèle Akindès was a pediatrician. She devoted 34 years of her life to this profession, which she describes as too exclusive. Seeking to restore meaning and dynamism to her retired life, she went back to school. Gisèle Akindès is now living her passion to the fullest and feels more useful.
