Rain tells the story of a spirited young Bahamian girl who, after her grandmother's death, leaves behind a simple, sheltered life on rural Ragged Island for the big city of Nassau in order to reconcile with her mother who abandoned her when she was a baby. Rain's dream of a loving reunion is quickly shattered when she meets Glory, a scarred, angry woman who bears no resemblance to the mother she had hoped for. Driven by the support of a caring track coach and a passion for running, Rain must find the inner strength to build a new life.
