Born 1970, Israel. Graduated in history, philosophy and cinema from Tel-Aviv University.
Shamir's"Checkpoint"(2003) received more than 20 awards - among them a first prize at IDFA, Amsterdam."Defamation"(2009), his second documentary, was selected for Forum, Berlin International Film Festival.
