Stany COPPET (Stany Coppet) is an Actor, Film director, Screenwriter and producer.

Stany Coppet is a mixed race actor, from the French west Indies. In 2003, on the recommendation of Euzhan Palcy and Spike Lee, he enrolled the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York. While training, he appeared on stage at the Repertory Theatre in an original play LOVE AND LAMB, by David Barshlomo, and in TASTE OF HONEY by Delaney Shelagh at the Century Center for the Performing Arts. Recently, through his organization "LUMERES NOIRES", Stany produced and hosted stage public interviews of personalities from the film and theatre industry at the Marilyn Monroe Theatre in New York City, and at the Fine Arts Theatre in Beverly, Hills California. His most recent guests were Euzhan Palcy, Roger Guenveur Smith, and Geoffrey Holder. In 2007, in Los Angeles California, Stany worked on the set of THE PIRATES OF THE CARIBEAN 3 directed by Gore Verbinsky. He also appeared on the credits of MAGNOLIA'S IN SPRING, directed by Tiffany R. Delorme and THE PARISIAN INCIDENT directed by Shane Ries. Along with producers Steven Adams and Steven Soderbergh, Coppet also appeared on the producer credits of ?WHO KILLED BOB MARLEY?' written and performed by Roger Guenveur Smith at the Bootleg Theatre of Los Angeles. Stany Coppet wrote a piece for the stage in which he will portray the historical character ?THE CHEVALIER DE SAINT GEORGE?, also known as ?The Voltaire of music' or ?The god of fencing'. Stany is attached to the next two movies directed by Euzhan Palcy, ?MIDNIGHT'S LAST RIDE' opposite Sam Shepard and Helen Burstyn, and ?FILET MIGNON', a French comedy taking place in Los Angeles. Stany appears in Marc Barrat's first feature film'ORPAILLEUR' which will be released in Europe through fall 2009. He just wrapped the'Black Devil', a documentary fiction in which he portrays the General Dumas (Father of the renowned french writer Alexander Dumas,'The three musketeers'). The General Dumas, born slave in Haiti, became one of the greatest general of the French Revolutionary army.

In 2021, along with Ashim Bhalla, he codirects the short drama "973" in which he stars.
