Born in Tehran, SEPIDEH FARSI left Iran to study in Paris.
Her first two feature-length films, Dreams of Dust (2003) and The Gaze (2005), premiered at Rotterdam. In 2010, her documentary Tehran Without Permission - which was shot entirely on cellphone - showed at DIFF (31st Durban Film Fest). THE HOUSE UNDER THE WATER (2010) was selected at DIFF 2011 (32nd Durban Film Fest).
