Moroccan film director, screenwriter and producer.

He is sometimes credited as
Ismaël EL MOUALA EL IRAKI

Ismaël EL IRAKI is a director, screenwriter and producer.
He is known for "Carcasse" (2006), "H'Rash" (2008) and "Zanka Contact" (2021).

Arrived in France in 2001, he studied philosophy and film theory before entering Fémis in 2004. Deeply convinced that genre cinema is the best able to tell what intrigues him in the world, Ismaël El Maoula El Iraki explores those ways through the fantastic (video documentary "Les Basses Terres" in 2005, on the Parisian catacombs), science fiction ("Carcasse", 2006), police comedy ("H'Rash ", 2008, short fiction film shot in Morocco) and Musical Thriller ("Zanka Contact", 2021, his first feature fiction, shot in Morocco).
