Firas W. Taybeh (b. 1983, lives in Amman) was born in Libya, studied directing and cinematography at The Red Sea Institute of Cinematic Arts in Aqaba, and has started his artistic career studying sculpting before turning to filmmaking in 2007. Taybeh has worked as an independent producer, director of photography, actor and art director in many Jordanian productions, and with the Royal Film Commission and GreyScale Films. His film "An Invisible Face" won the best short film award in the 19th European Film Festival in Amman in 2007. Taybeh was the leading actor in "Butterfly" (2007) a short film directed by Muhammad Hushki. He is Lead Actor (Jad) in END OF SEPTEMBER directed by Sama Alshaibi and Ala' Younis (2009).
Firas Taybeh is one of the creators of Aramram, Jordan's first web TV.
