Désirée NOSBUSCH is a actress, television host, TV/film director, film producer. She is known for the TV series Bad Banks (2018) and Succès Fox (2014, debut feature documentary).
Désirée is co-founder of Deal Productions (Luxembourg), along with Alexandra Hoesdorff.
Internationally acclaimed actress and television host for over thirty years, Désirée was nominated for best actress 2018 at the Deutscher Fernsehpreis and she recently received the best supporting actress award from the DAFF (German Television Academy) as well as The Grimme Preis 2019 for her work in the international success series Bad Banks. The series premiered at Berlinale 2018 and has been awarded The New York Audience Award.
Désirée holds a Masters Degree in directing and film production from UCLA in Los Angeles. Her short film Ice Cream Sundae, received the "Gold Award"for "Best Short Direction"at the World Festival Houston and the "Gold Award"for "Best Short Drama"at the Fargo Film Festival.
She successfully developed, produced, directed and starred in the first Luxembourg sitcom Weemseesdet for RTL. The show's first season aired from 2011-2012 and earned huge ratings.
Désirée completed her debut feature documentary Succès Fox which premiered at Discovery Zone - Luxembourg City Film Festival and the Max Ophüls Preis in Saarbrücken 2014. She recently directed 3 episodes of the Luxembourg Sitcom Room for Rent 2018 for RTL.
Désirée is currently in preparation of her debut fiction feature film based on the international acclaimed play "Poison" by Lot Vekemans. Désirée played the female lead in the play directed by Johan Leysen in 2014.
