Based in Casablanca, Morocco, the Company DOUNIA PRODUCTIONS was created by Dounia BENJELLOUN MEZIAN in 1986.

Drawing on our national and international experience, we share our partners ambitions, offering our expertise and rigor to foster, support and produce their projects by providing a unique and creative vision.

Companies, film studios, advertising agencies, film producers, directors... DOUNIA PRODUCTIONS meets each of their challenges with a constant concern to provide high-quality images and work to meet the expectations of those who place their trust in us, which makes our job a succession of exciting challenges.

At the same time, DOUNIA PRODUCTIONS develops and produces numerous documentaries, the deliberate main focus of which is to decipher cultures, arts and traditions, providing an inside look and sincere testimonies to reflect different customs and lifestyles in our societies.

Dounia Productions mission is to create and distribute films with the goal of sharing new and varied perceptions through unique moments of life that tell of the multiplicity and richness of our civilizations and that address cultural landscapes with an aesthetic and didactic approach.

Dounia Productions commitment to this field was rewarded with no less than 15 distinctions at the US International Film & Video Festival including 3 Gold Camera and 5 Silver Screen awards in 2016.

In October 2016, Dounia Productions was selected at the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards where it won a Silver Dolphin for its documentary "Through the Blooming Valleys" from the series "Amazigh Music and Dance" and in 2017 for the film "The Restauration of the Saadian Tombs" directed by Dounia Benjelloun Mezian. In 2013, Dounia Productions was already reknowned at this prestigious international Festival for receiving the Gold Dolphin for the film "The Palm Grove School".

In 2018, Dounia Productions is rewarded again, receiving the Gold Camera for the Original Music and two Certificates for Creative Excellence in Cinematography and Editing at the US International Film & Video Festival and also the Award of the Best Cinematography at the Madrid International Film Festival for the film "The Restauration of the Saadian Tombs".

In 2019, the Impact Docs Awards Festival of La Jolla in California rewards Dounia Productions with 5 Awards of Merit for the films "The Restoration of the Saadian Tombs", "Through the Blooming Valleys", "The Little Maestros", "Nomad Wedding in Merzouga" with a Special Mention for the film "Women in Amazigh Music".

In 2020, Dounia Productions was rewarded for its new documentary film "The Apache Ceremony of Kiana", and received several prizes and nominations at the following festivals:

Post-production and projection facilities

DOUNIA PRODUCTIONS is increasing its autonomy with a new 4K post-production infrastructure and archiving solution that includes:
- 3 Avid Media Composer editing desks
- 1 DaVinci Resolve colour-grading station
- 1 5.1 Pro Tools HDX + S3 sound-mixing and editing station with voice and instrument recording booth
- 3 Avid Nexis Pro 20To collaborative storage servers
- 1 LTO-7 Quantum Scalar i3 library steered by Archiware P5 software suite.

In addition to this infrastructure, DOUNIA PRODUCTIONS has also set up a 4K and 5.1 screening room with:
- A Sony VPL-VW550ES video projector
- A Yamaha MusicCast CX-A5100 amplifier
- A 5.1 Focal CMS 50 & 65 sound system with Adam Sub12 subwoofer
- A 265 x 155 cm acoustically transparent projection screen
- 10 cinema seats
